Job summary

HammondCare invites applications for a permanent full-time Capital Works Procurement Specialist based in Sydney with hybrid working options. The role focuses on end-to-end procurement for major Capital Works FF&E, ensuring compliance, value for money and timely delivery.

You will work embedded in the Greenwich redevelopment team, coordinating with project, property and operations, and travel to HammondCare sites as required. A strong procurement background in large projects is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of procurement experience on large projects.
• Experience in procurement and project delivery.
• Experience in complex regulated environments (health, aged care).
• Strong commercial acumen with negotiation skills.
• Digital literacy and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop a project procurement plan and FF&E schedule aligned with the project program and budget.
• Confirm requirements, specifications, quantities, delivery locations and on-site dates with stakeholders.
• Lead sourcing activities, including market analysis, RFQ/tender, supplier due diligence, evaluation and award recommendations.
• Develop procurement packaging strategies considering standardisation, lead times, and delivery risk.
• Establish and administer supplier contracts, purchase orders, variations and other documentation per governance.
• Maintain an integrated FF&E procurement, production, logistics and delivery schedule with milestones and interdependencies.
• Monitor supplier production and delivery performance and manage delays, shortages and risks.
• Plan and coordinate end-to-end FF&E logistics, storage, installation, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with project team to ensure areas are safe and ready to receive FF&E.
• Maintain procurement trackers, budget, warranties and handover documentation.
• Support commissioning and operational readiness by ensuring FF&E is delivered and usable per project plan.
• Provide regular reporting on procurement status, costs, lead times and supplier performance.
• Manage supplier relationships and address issues through governance channels.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to repeatable procurement frameworks.
• Partner with Project Managers to provide procurement advice and support delivery.
