Job summary

Home Affairs is seeking a Project Co-ordinator for Capital Works and Infrastructure. The role supports planning, delivery and monitoring of capital works, infrastructure and property projects across Australia, with flexible arrangements (hybrid/on-site) depending on operational needs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong project management, stakeholder engagement and governance experience, delivering complex infrastructure or property-related projects in a government setting.

Qualifications

• Qualifications or experience in project management, construction, property, infrastructure, contract management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
• Strong project management skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support Assistant Directors in the planning, delivery and monitoring of capital works, infrastructure and property projects.
• Manage project activities and contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects within agreed scope, budget and timeframes.
• Assist with procurement, contract administration and management of external consultants and contractors.
• Support project governance, risk management, reporting and assurance activities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess, prioritise and manage project proposals and business case submissions.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with legislative, policy and departmental requirements.
• Prepare high-quality written briefs, reports and project documentation for management and governance committees.
