Job summary

HammondCare seeks a Capital Works Procurement Specialist to lead end-to-end procurement for high-value projects, notably the Greenwich redevelopment. You will embed within the Capital Works project team, coordinating FF&E, equipment and services while ensuring governance, risk controls and value for money.

You will manage supplier selection, contracting, logistics and handover, while aligning procurement with project timelines and operational readiness across HammondCare sites in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar position supporting large-scale projects.
• Procurement and project delivery experience in complex, regulated environments (health/aged care/infrastructure).
• Ability to manage procurement budgets and deliver value through sourcing outcomes.
• Strong verbal and written communication across all organisational levels.
• Proven capability in supplier and stakeholder relationship management.
• Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and planning skills.
• Forward planning to align procurement with operational readiness and asset value.
• Demonstrated ethical judgement and professional integrity.
• High level of digital and systems literacy.
• Willingness to work regularly from project sites and with the Greenwich project team in St Leonards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a project-specific procurement plan and FF&E sourcing schedule aligned with the approved project program and budget.
• Confirm requirements, specifications, quantities, delivery locations and on-site dates with project and operational stakeholders.
• Lead sourcing activities including market analysis, RFP/tender, supplier due diligence, evaluation and award recommendations.
• Develop procurement packaging strategies considering standardisation, aggregated demand, local/overseas supply, lead times and delivery risk.
• Establish and administer contracts, purchase orders, variations and other commercial documentation per governance.
• Maintain integrated FF&E procurement, production, logistics and delivery schedule with milestones and interdependencies.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage delays, shortages, defects, substitutions and risks.
• Plan and coordinate end-to-end FF&E logistics, storage, installation, commissioning support and handover.
• Coordinate with project team to ensure areas are safe, accessible and ready for FF&E delivery.
• Maintain procurement trackers, delivery records, budgets, warranties, manuals and handover documentation.
• Support commissioning, decommissioning and operational readiness; ensure FF&E is delivered and available per project plan.
• Provide regular reporting on procurement status, costs, lead times, milestones and supplier performance.
• Manage supplier relationships and elevate significant issues through governance channels.
• Maintain auditable procurement records including approvals, evaluations, contracts and conflicts-of-interest declarations.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to repeatable procurement frameworks for future projects.
