Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking an experienced Capex Manager to lead capital works for Southgate in Melbourne’s Southbank precinct. You will own capex planning, budgets and forecasts, coordinating with Operations and Property teams to minimise tenant disruption during live works.

You will oversee PMs/consultants, drive cost controls, and ensure safety standards while delivering high-quality outcomes across retail and commercial spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex capex in live commercial/retail buildings.
• Strong budgeting, cost control and monthly reforecasting.
• Tertiary qualification in Building & Construction or Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into clear capex briefs.
• Create and manage capex budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee external Project Managers and consultants.
• Manage projects from planning to completion and handover.
• Prepare tender documents and administer contracts.
• Plan works to minimise disruption to tenants.
• Maintain risk register and ensure safety compliance.
• Deliver post-project evaluations and lessons learned.
