Job summary

Empire Group seeks a Project Manager Capital Works to lead planning, delivery, and performance of capital works and maintenance programs across a major government agency in Brisbane.

You will collaborate with senior leadership, operational stakeholders, and external service providers to ensure projects align with government frameworks, asset management objectives, and long-term asset planning.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-value capital building works projects within complex government or commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of project, program, asset, and facilities management with governance and compliance capability.
• Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills, including budget management, forecasting, and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of capital works programs and maintenance projects within scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Provide strategic updates to senior executives and government stakeholders on project performance and asset management matters.
• Monitor governance, risk, compliance, and reporting in line with whole-of-government frameworks and agency standards.
• Prepare high-level briefing notes, Cabinet submissions, business cases, and financial/operational reports.
• Contribute to Asset Strategic Plan development and annual reviews with active engagement across business units.
• Build relationships with contractors, service providers, and cross-agency stakeholders to progress initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement in facilities, infrastructure, and asset management through data analysis and stakeholder feedback.
