Job summary

KEKSIA in Canberra is seeking a motivated salesperson to join our showroom. You’ll turn walk-ins into relationships and grow a patch of accounts, guided by a hands-on mentor. This role focuses on active hunting of trade opportunities and building early product specifications.

You’ll work with CRM systems, visit builders and architects, and progressively expand your client base into larger, recurring business opportunities. A strong consultative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable sales experience in retail, trade counter, B2B, or similar.
• Current, clean Australian driver’s licence.
• Comfortable running a showroom day-to-day alongside active prospecting.
• Genuine desire to build a long-term career in trade/technical sales.

Responsibilities

• Predominantly manage and run our Canberra showroom, providing excellent product advice and service to trade and retail customers.
• Proactively prospect and open new trade accounts. Hunt for business, don't just wait for it to come to you.
• Get out into the field periodically to visit builders, landscapers, decking installers, and architects.
• Build relationships that get our products specified into projects early.
• Take a consultative approach. Help clients understand our products and guide them through their project, rather than just processing a transaction.
• Quote, follow up leads, and run deals through to close.
• Keep your pipeline and activity visible in NetSuite so your Branch Manager can support you and follow up where needed.
• Grow the smaller and newer accounts you open over time into larger, recurring business.
