USU is Australia’s largest and oldest not-for-profit student organisation located at the University of Sydney campus. As Venue Manager for Courtyard Café & Bar, you will lead a large team, run daily operations and shape the venue’s future.

You’ll balance hands-on leadership with commercial focus to optimise experience and cost control. You’ll work closely with kitchen and operations teams, build strong campus relationships, and drive growth across customer experience, events and services.

Qualifications

• 2+ years venue management in busy hospitality
• Strong people leadership and customer service skills
• Experience managing large teams and daily venue operations
• Experience rostering, labour, stock and inventory management
• Understanding of high-volume cafe service and bar operations
• Current RSA and Food Safety certificates
• Knowledge of HACCP or food safety requirements
• Organised, proactive and calm under pressure
• Genuine passion for hospitality and developing people

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day operations and a high-performing team at Courtyard Café & Bar
• Be visible on the floor, coach and develop staff during busy service
• Drive customer experience, events, sales and venue growth
• Manage labour, stock, rostering and costs, improve processes
• Collaborate with kitchen and operations teams and university community
