McCosker Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead delivery in the Cairns region. The role involves overseeing planning to completion, driving safety, quality, schedule, and cost outcomes while reporting to the Project Manager.

Ideal candidates will have extensive civil construction, bulk earthworks, or mining experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and resources across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in civil construction, bulk earthworks, or mining.
• Proven leadership of teams and complex project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Sound understanding of contract administration, commercial management, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities across the project.
• Develop and implement construction strategies, methodologies, and execution plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary direct team and subcontractors.
• Drive a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Plan, allocate resources, ensure productivity and operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
• Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and project controls teams.
• Prepare and deliver project reports, forecasts, and progress updates.
