Job summary

McCosker Contracting is seeking a Project Manager with bulk earthworks experience to lead a Queensland project. You will manage the project team, schedule, risk, safety, and resources to deliver contracted works per client requirements.

This role involves travel to multiple project sites across the region and coordinating with stakeholders to achieve on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Qualifications

• Industry recognised qualification in project management or equivalent.
• Experience in civil engineering and project management.
• Knowledge of the civil construction industry.
• Experience delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project team and program schedule.
• Oversee risk, safety, operations and resources for project deliverables.
• Coordinate labour, procurement and client liaison across sites.
• Report progress and ensure delivery to client requirements.
• Travel to project sites and work across multiple locations.

About this Opportunity

McCosker Contracting are seeking a Project Manager with experience in Bulk Earthworks to join our team on a project in Queensland.

In this position you will provide effective management of the project team, and successful planning, management and delivery of the contracted works in accordance with client requirements. This role is accountable for successful project outcomes through effective leadership of the project team, managing the program schedule, risk, safety, operations, and resources associated with project deliverables.

This position will work individually and in a team environment to deliver exceptional outcomes, while maintaining a safe and productive culture and having a positive impact on the community in which we operate.

This position is required to travel and work on various project sites, where we operate, to support the successful delivery of project and company goals.

To be successful for this role:

• Industry recognised qualification in project management or equivalent
• Experience in civil engineering and project management
• Knowledge of the civil construction industry and current projects
• Experience in a civil based business
• Able to interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience in coordinating labour, resources and procurement
• Highly effective in negotiating and communicating with clients and project personnel
• Experience contributing to tenders and delivering projects on time and within budget
• Demonstrated ability to lead and implement the scheduled program of work
• Highly effective in adhering to legislation and standards for performance, quality, cost and safety
• Current Queensland Open Drivers Licence
• General Construction Induction (white card/blue)
