Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Café Manager
• Experience managing the day-to-day operations of a busy café
• Proficient with Deputy for rostering and timesheets
• Experience using Xero for invoicing and financial administration
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting and P&L oversight
• Experience managing labour costs, stock ordering and operational expenses
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Full Australian working rights

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the cafe, ensuring smooth service and high standards
• Lead, support and coordinate the café team to deliver excellent customer experiences
• Prepare and manage staff rosters, timesheets and labour requirements using Deputy
• Manage stock ordering, supplier relationships and inventory levels
• Monitor sales, labour costs and other operational expenses
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and P&L oversight to support business performance
• Use Xero to manage invoices, financial records and related administration
• Monitor cost control and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability
• Maintain food safety, workplace health and safety, and cleanliness standards
• Manage customer feedback and resolve operational issues professionally
• Ensure the cafe is well presented, organised and ready for service
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall guest experience
