Job summary

The Esplanade Hotel is seeking an Assistant Manager to help keep the venue buzzing on the Brighton foreshore. This hands-on role involves supervising a team, ensuring safety and a great guest experience, and stepping up to lead when the Publican is away.

You will work in a casual, waterside setting, building strong relationships with locals and delivering the welcoming, 'Simply Brighton' experience. RSA/RSG and RP badges are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring physical tasks (manual handling and lifting).
• Experience supervising in bar, bistro or gaming room environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team of hospo staff and help train junior teammates.
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches and maintain a positive atmosphere on shift.
• Deliver the welcoming, 'Simply Brighton' experience to guests.
• Engage with locals and become the face of the pub when the boss is away.
