Job summary

Sheet Metal Solutions in Riverstone, NSW is seeking an experienced Senior Laser Programmer / CAD Draftsman to join a growing manufacturing team. You will take customer drawings from concept to production, programming TRUMPF laser cutting machines and collaborating with laser, bending and fabrication crews to ensure efficient manufacture.

Your role involves CAD design, nesting, and preparing production work orders, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, detail and timely delivery in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Strong background in sheet metal manufacturing, CAD programming or mechanical/engineering drafting.
• Strong experience in laser cutting, CNC bending and sheet metal fabrication.
• Experience programming CNC laser cutting machines.
• Experience with TRUMPF software highly regarded.
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Understanding of tolerances, materials and fabrication requirements.
• Ability to take a job from customer drawing through to production.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• A mechanical engineering, drafting or relevant trade/manufacturing background will be highly regarded.
