What you'll do?

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll identify and win new commercial customers across Western Australia, building a strong pipeline and creating long-term business relationships. Working with prospective customers, presales specialists and technical teams, you’ll position technology solutions that solve genuine business challenges and deliver measurable value. This role will suit a driven salesperson or account manager who is ready to step into business development, enjoys opening doors and has the tenacity to turn conversations into opportunities.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across the commercial market.
  • Build and actively manage a strong sales pipeline aligned with revenue targets.
  • Prospect for new customers and engage key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Understand prospective customers’ business and technology requirements.
  • Position solutions across hardware, software, services and technology lifecycle offerings.
  • Collaborate with presales and technical teams to develop fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver customer proposals, presentations and commercial negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate opportunities, activities, forecasts and pipeline information in the customer relationship management system.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to sales initiatives, go-to-market activities and process improvements as your experience develops.
What you'll bring?
  • Experience in sales, account management, customer acquisition or business development.
  • Evidence that you can generate opportunities, develop relationships and progress a sales pipeline.
  • Confidence prospecting for new customers and initiating conversations with decision-makers.
  • Business-to-business sales experience, gained within technology or another solutions-focused industry.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to connect customer needs with valuable solutions.
  • A self-motivated, results-focused mindset with persistence, initiative and personal accountability.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate activity and pipeline records.
  • Experience using customer relationship management and sales pipeline tools will be highly regarded.
  • Technology sales experience, relevant qualifications or vendor accreditations will be advantageous.

Compnow will provide and require all successful applicants to complete a current National Police Check as well as a new or updated state-based Working With Children Check.
