Job summary

Compnow is seeking a Security Technician to install, configure, and maintain electronic security solutions for diverse client environments in Melbourne. You will work within the Electrical, Data & Security (EDS) team, ensuring safe, efficient delivery and high-quality customer service.

Role involves on-site work with CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms and related systems, plus maintenance, testing and handovers to clients. Relevant security licensing is required.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, commissioning, servicing or maintaining electronic security systems.
• Practical experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, intercoms or similar technologies.
• Current security licence, registration or equivalent authorisation relevant to the work performed.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm, intercom and related security systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance, system upgrades and reactive service work.
• Diagnose faults and resolve hardware, software, cabling and connectivity issues.
• Build strong relationships with customers and site stakeholders through professional communication and service.
• Conduct testing, quality assurance checks and system handovers.

What you'll do?

As a Security Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, configuring, commissioning and maintaining electronic security solutions across a variety of customer environments. Working as part of our Electrical, Data & Security (EDS) team, you'll deliver high-quality solutions while providing outstanding customer service and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to industry standards.

• Install, configure and commission CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm, intercom and related security systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance, system upgrades and reactive service work.
• Diagnose faults and resolve hardware, software, cabling and connectivity issues.
• Build strong relationships with customers and site stakeholders through professional communication and service.
• Conduct testing, quality assurance checks and system handovers.

What you'll bring?

• Experience installing, commissioning, servicing or maintaining electronic security systems.
• Practical experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, intercoms or similar technologies.
• Current security licence, registration or equivalent authorisation relevant to the work performed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

What else do you need to apply?

• Travel on-site to our office in Notting Hilland client sites around Melbourne.
• Must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions.

Compnow will provide and require all successful applicants to complete a current National Police Check as well as a new or updated state-based Working With Children Check.
