Commonwealth Bank is seeking a skilled Business Banker to support small businesses across Victoria, from Melbourne to regional areas. You will build trusted relationships with brokers, branches, and referral partners while delivering tailored lending and banking solutions.

You’ll assess customer needs, offer end‑to‑end support, and contribute to the growth of the Small Business Banking team with a customer‑first mindset and strong commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Experience in small business or commercial lending or similar customer‑facing financial services role.
• Strong business development skills and commercial acumen.
• Excellent customer engagement abilities, in-person and remote.
• Track record of managing customer pipelines and delivering proactive service.
• Genuine passion for supporting small business customers or firsthand experience running one.
• FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation and CAA Level 2, or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Responsabilités

We’re seeking an experienced Business Banker to join our Small Business Banking team, with location flexibility across Victoria. Whether you’re based in Melbourne or regional Victoria, we’re open to finding the right candidate.

Supporting customers across Victoria and Tasmania, you'll work closely with a range of referral partners including brokers, Premier Banking, CBA Branches and Commercial Banking teams to help customers access the right banking and lending solutions.

In this role, you'll build strong customer relationships, understand each customer's unique goals and challenges, and provide end-to-end support across their banking needs. You'll combine your commercial acumen with a customer-first mindset to identify opportunities, deliver tailored solutions and help small businesses grow with the backing of CommBank's products, services and expertise.

More specifically, you will:

• Engaging in meaningful customer conversations to uncover goals and deliver timely, relevant financial solutions—including commercial lending up to $1.5M, asset finance, merchant services, and everyday banking.
• Proactively engage customers to support their business and personal goals
• Representing CBA as a brand ambassador in the local business community, including hosting educational events to promote financial wellbeing
• Attending stakeholder meetings to raise awareness of Small Business Banking services and foster referral partnerships.
  

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

• Experience in small business or commercial lending, business banking, or a similar customer-facing financial services role
• StrongBusiness Development Skillsandcommercial acumen
• Excellentcustomer engagement abilities, both in-person and remotely
• A track record of managing customer pipelines and delivering proactive service
• A genuine passion for supporting Small Business customers—or firsthand experience running one.
• FSRA Tier 2 AccreditationandCredit Approval Authority (CAA) Level 2, or a willingness to obtain these within 6 months
