Our customer-focused proposition and enthusiastic, committed team have helped generate significant growth, and we now have a number of opportunities for business-to-business sales professionals to join us and help build our success further.

As a Business Banking Manager in our SME National Deposits Pod, you’ll play a key role in helping our customers run and grow their business and secure deposits into investments. This role is responsible for building customer engagement with existing small business customers and providing tailored solutions and recommendations to support business growth and development.

Banking is changing, and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn, and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future while helping to build ours.

Role Type: Permanent
Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008
Work Hours: Full-time

What will your day look like?

As a Business Banking Manager, you will be responsible for:

  1. Participating in high volume inbound and structured leads-based outbound calling.
  2. Providing high-quality customer service to a wide and diverse range of customers in a team-based managed portfolio.
  3. The retention and growth of existing customers.
  4. Understanding customer ambitions and helping them realize their business growth and development goals.
  5. Contributing to a high-performing team culture and environment based on high collaboration and rapid customer solutioning.
  6. Meeting assigned performance targets across the balanced scorecard.
  7. Engaging with existing small business customers.
  8. Management of a team-based customer portfolio.
  9. Effective collaboration with Lighthouse & CSO enablement teams.
  10. Maintaining deep knowledge of the ANZ product suite to ensure customers are recommended appropriate solutions.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  1. Relationship Management: Building, maintaining, and influencing relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  2. Portfolio Management: The selection, prioritization, and management of a portfolio of work and/or customers in line with its strategic objectives and capacity to deliver. The goal is to balance change initiatives and business-as-usual while optimizing return on investment.
  3. Customer Solutioning: Supporting customers by understanding their needs and informing them about relevant products or services, and/or providing considered options that meet those needs.
  4. Credit Assessment and Management: Assessing, advising, monitoring, and/or approving a customer's creditworthiness, credit risk, and suitable credit structuring options based on internal credit policies, guidelines, scoring models, and/or applying judgment based on prior experience and knowledge.
  5. Data Analysis: Collecting, profiling, and analyzing data to translate into meaningful insights to inform business decisions and deliver customer solutions.

You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ, a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we’d love to hear from you.

So why join us?

But it's not just our customers who'll feel your impact. You'll feel it too. Because at ANZ, you'll have the resources, opportunities, and support you need to take the next big step in your career.

We're a diverse bunch at ANZ in different roles, different locations, doing different things. That's why we have a range of flexible working arrangements, so our people can 'make work, work for them'. We also provide a range of benefits including access to health and wellbeing services and discounts on selected products and services from ANZ and more.

At ANZ, you'll be part of an organization where the different backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences of our people are celebrated. That's because we're committed to building a workplace that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We welcome applications from everyone and encourage you to talk to us about any adjustments you may require to our recruitment process or the role itself.
