Job summary

Vocus is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in delivering strategic initiatives, driving process improvement, and translating business needs into practical technology solutions.

You will partner with stakeholders across Technology and the Consumer division, define requirements, create user stories and process maps, and support delivery with clear documentation and change readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in complex business and technology environments.
• Experience in Energy Retail or related industries.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Excellent business analysis and process documentation capabilities.
• Expertise in user story mapping and persona-based requirements gathering.
• Understanding of BPMN methodologies and business process modelling.
• Knowledge of BABOK frameworks, techniques and tools.
• Exposure to AI-enabled tools supporting BA activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across Technology and business to gather, validate and prioritise requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and commercially minded Business Analyst to work across business and technology teams, contributing to projects that shape the future of our Consumer division.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Business Analyst, you will partner with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business challenges, define requirements, and support the successful delivery of projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with stakeholders across Technology and business teams to gather, validate and prioritise business and technical requirements.
• Translating complex concepts into clear, actionable requirements, user stories and business processes.
• Facilitating workshops, interviews and discovery sessions to uncover business needs, challenges and opportunities.
• Working closely with architects, engineers and project managers to ensure business requirements are aligned with technical solutions.
• Producing and maintaining high-quality documentation, including requirements, process maps and analysis artefacts.
• Documenting current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) processes.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to solution design discussions.
• Supporting project delivery through effective stakeholder engagement, analysis and change readiness activities.
• Undertaking additional duties as required.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguity.
