Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
PLUS ES is expanding its finance, HR and ITSM capabilities by documenting and standardising requirements, processes and governance. You will move between Finance, HR and ITSM, running workshops, capturing needs and shaping the systems the business will rely on for years.
Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, you will prioritise work, map current and target processes, and support vendor evaluation, cutover and hypercare to ensure a smooth transition.
Source's client, PLUS ES is entering an exciting new chapter. As they continue their journey as a leader in metering and data services, they are building smarter infrastructure solutions at the intersection of technology, service and sustainability, powering the energy and resource transition across Australia. This is a rare moment to shape what PLUS ES becomes next, with a steadfast commitment to delivering the reliable, accurate data and insights a sustainable energy future depends on.
PLUS ES’s mission is to deliver smarter infrastructure and data to enable a sustainable tomorrow, and our vision is to keep innovating today for tomorrow's energy challenges. As they evolve, they are doubling down on what makes them who they are: Safety, Team, Customer, Innovation, and Accountability.
Ask how payroll works today or how a new supplier gets onboarded, and you might get three different answers depending on who you ask. That is because a lot of this function is being built as we speak, and your job is to turn "it depends" into something documented, deliberate and built to last.
You will move between Finance, HR and ITSM as we work out exactly what this business needs, running requirements workshops one week and scoring vendor proposals the next, then staying close through cutover and hypercare to make sure the solution that looked good on paper actually works for the people using it. It is broad, occasionally messy and genuinely formative. Few business analysts get to help choose the systems a company will run on for the next decade.
Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, you will work closely with Finance, Legal, Technology and operational leaders who are building this function right alongside you.
Gather, document and prioritise business requirements for Finance, HR and ITSM initiatives.
Identify and map fit-for-purpose business processes, securing sign-off and handover to operational owners.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of corporate systems and outsourced services.
Support cutover planning and provide hypercare coverage after go-live.
Maintain governance frameworks and reporting that support continuous improvement.
With extensive experience in business analysis, typically 5 or more years, including hands-on delivery of requirements, process analysis and solution definition, you will have experience implementing corporate systems, specifically HR, payroll or finance solutions.
You know how to prioritise your own work with minimal supervision, and you build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups rather than waiting for direction. You are equally comfortable running a requirements workshop and getting into the detail of a cutover plan, and you spot process improvement opportunities before anyone asks you to.
Above all, you enjoy building from a blank page. Experience in energy, utilities, telecommunications or a similar sector would be a natural fit, as would prior exposure to migration or separation projects for HR, payroll or finance solutions.
This is a genuine opportunity to shape the corporate systems and processes of a growing, newly independent business, with real influence over how Finance, HR and ITSM operate for years to come.
This organisation is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.
