Job summary

Department of Transport & Planning Victoria in Melbourne is seeking a Bus Asset Performance Officer to support asset management, monitoring of bus operators, and lifecycle programs, including data reporting and performance analysis.

You will provide technical asset management expertise, drive improvements, and support the shift to zero-emission buses while coordinating with stakeholders and external providers.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, asset management or related technical field.
• Extensive experience in bus industry maintenance and operations with risk and safety management knowledge.
• Experience developing data visualisation tools (Power BI or Tableau) and programming using Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Analyse asset trends and monitor contractual performance.
• Support asset management lead with data reporting and performance analysis.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify risks.
• Assist transition to zero-emission buses (ZEBs) and implement new technologies.
