Job summary

The Department of Transport and Planning in Victoria is seeking a Bus Asset Performance Officer to assist the Asset Management Lead in monitoring bus operators' asset management, maintenance and lifecycle programs. The role ensures performance and contractual compliance while improving data and reporting.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify risks, provide technical expertise on asset management and contribute to the transition to zero-emission buses across Victoria.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, asset management or related technical field.
• Extensive experience in bus industry maintenance and operations with knowledge of risk and safety management practices.
• Experience developing data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and using programming languages such as Python, SQL.

Responsibilities

• Analyse asset trends and monitor contractual performance.
• Prepare briefings and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support transition to zero-emission buses (ZEBs) and asset data improvement.
• Provide technical expertise on asset management and risk management.
