Job summary

Queensland Government Protective Services Group is seeking a Protective Services Officer to deliver security services across state government buildings and precincts. You will liaise with clients, contractors and building occupants, and apply Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 standards to maintain safety.

Responsibilities include reviewing security procedures, coordinating emergency training, and operating building management and security systems.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid Certificate is mandatory.
• Successful completion of the Protective Services Officers Course is required for appointment.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients, contractors, building occupants and the public to deliver high-quality security services.
• Review and maintain procedures for general building security and safety within the building.
• Coordinate training and provide direction in emergency procedures and building safety programs, including Occupant Emergency Program.
• Operate Building Management and Security Access Systems and generate reports for contractors and tenants.
• Develop liaison with clients and Building Managers, and participate in Emergency Planning Committee.
