Job summary

Queensland Police Service in Toowoomba seeks a dedicated Protective Services Officer to deliver security services across state government buildings and precincts. The role includes liaising with clients, contractors and occupants to ensure safety and compliance, while operating under Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000.

You will coordinate emergency procedures as Chief Warden, review building security procedures, and lead a team with a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Mandatory First Aid Certificate
• Completion of Protective Services Officers Course required during selection process

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients, contractors, building occupants and the public to deliver high-quality security services
• Exercise functions and powers under the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 and follow Protective Services procedures
• Review, develop and maintain procedures for general building security and control entry and parking
• Coordinate training and safety programs under AS 3745 and Building Fire Regulations 2008, acting as Chief Warden
• Review functionality of security systems and provide reports from Building Management and Security Access System
• Develop and maintain liaison with clients, Building Managers and other emergency service personnel, participate in Emergency Planning Committee
• Provide leadership, supervision and development to subordinate officers
