Summary:

The Building Optimisation Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of building operations within the construction industry. Based in Sydney, this permanent, full-time position focuses on implementing innovative strategies to optimise building performance, reduce energy consumption, and improve occupant comfort. The specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that building systems operate at peak efficiency, conduction routine Service, Maintenance and Installation as and when required and will be a very diverse role even including some account management/Client liaison type duties too.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of building systems to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate optimisation solutions into new and existing projects.
• Monitor and analyse building performance data to track improvements and identify further enhancements.
• Provide training and support to facility management teams on best practices for building optimisation.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to building performance and sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Trade qualification in HVAC or Electrical
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in building optimisation, BMS, Building Automation or similar in Service, Maintenance & Installation
• Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and controls.
• Experience with Niagara (certification preferred but not necessary)
