Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily management and coordination of body corporate and facilities services across assigned properties.
  • Process and respond to maintenance requests, service calls, and resident enquiries promptly.
  • Support scheduling and coordination of contractors, tradespersons, and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to building operations, inspections, and communications.
  • Conduct routine building inspections and report on common areas and facilities.
  • Assist with preparation of reports, schedules, and documentation for owners and body corporate committees.
  • Support collection and management of levies, fees, and other financial matters as directed.
  • Liaise with residents and service providers to resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
  • Assist with compliance matters, including health and safety and legislative obligations.
  • Support preventative maintenance schedules and facility improvement initiatives.

About the role

We are seeking a Building Manager (Mandarin Bilingual Preferred) to join our dynamic team at Praxis Facility Management in St Leonards, NSW on a full-time basis. As a Junior Building Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of residential and commercial properties, ensuring the effective coordination between building owners, residents, contractors, and service providers. This position is ideal for someone looking to establish themselves in the property management industry whilst building valuable experience in building operations, compliance, and customer service.

Key responsibilities

Assist with the daily management and coordination of body corporate and facilities services across assigned properties

Process and respond to maintenance requests, service calls, and resident enquiries in a timely and professional manner

Support the scheduling and coordination of contractors, tradespersons, and service providers

Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to building operations, inspections, and communications

What we're looking for

Building Management/Facilities Management, or Concierge experience is highly recognized

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and building management software systems

A professional and courteous demeanour with a customer-focused approach

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation

Problem-solving ability and the capacity to take initiative in a supportive team environment

An understanding of building operations, maintenance, and facilities management principles

Willingness to learn and develop expertise in the body corporate and facilities management sector

Mandarin Chinese language skills (speaking and written) are desirable

A valid drive licence
