Job summary

Pearson Carter Limited is partnering with an established engineering business to deliver control systems projects across mining, heavy industry and utilities from design to commissioning in Brisbane.

You will program and troubleshoot PLC, RTU, HMI, and SCADA applications, develop specifications and manuals, and validate systems on client sites while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to elevate engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Essential degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronic Engineering or related discipline.
• At least five years of control systems design and development experience.
• At least two years of hands-on Ignition SCADA experience.
• PLC programming and fault-finding with Schneider, Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms.
• Strong understanding of industrial control principles and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver control systems across full project lifecycle from conceptual design to commissioning.
• Program, test and troubleshoot PLC, RTU, HMI and SCADA applications to improve industrial performance.
• Produce functional specifications, test documentation, and operating manuals.
• Commission and validate systems on client sites against project requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to engineering best practices.
