Job summary

Pearson Carter Limited seeks a Control Systems Engineer with hands-on Ignition SCADA experience to join our growing engineering team in Australia. You will work across mining, heavy industry and utilities, delivering end-to-end control system projects from design through commissioning.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics, have 5+ years’ control systems experience and at least 2 years using Ignition, with strong PLC/HMI skills. Flexible arrangements available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years’ experience in control systems engineering.
• At least 2 years’ hands-on Ignition SCADA experience.
• Experience with PLC programming and fault-finding, ideally across Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms.
• Experience with industrial HMI/SCADA systems such as Ignition, Plant SCADA or FactoryTalk View.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain industrial control systems.
• Complete conceptual design and front-end engineering design.
• Develop and maintain functional specifications, test plans and technical documentation.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, HMIs and SCADA systems.
• Develop control logic and support system testing, commissioning and validation.
• Work with electrical, mechanical and software engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide technical input throughout project delivery and contribute to engineering standards.
