Job summary

pitt&sherry is an Australian-owned engineering and environmental consultancy seeking a Bridge Engineer to lead structural design with a focus on bridges. You will design new bridges, assess existing ones and contribute across the project life cycle, including inspections.

The role requires a degree in Structural Engineering, a minimum of 3 years in bridge engineering, and SpaceGASS (mandatory) with Midas Civil preferred, plus experience with AS5100 and Australian bridge standards.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of Bridge Engineering experience.
• SpaceGASS is mandatory; Midas Civil preferred.
• Experience with AS5100 and Australian bridge standards.

Responsibilities

• Design new bridges and assess existing bridges to meet program, scope, quality and cost requirements.
• Work on small, medium and large bridge projects across the life cycle – concept, design & construction, management, assessment and end of life.
• Occasional bridge inspections at various locations around Australia.
• Potential project management of small to medium projects over time.
• Champion our culture of delivering quality and meeting client expectations; model OH&S behaviours.
• Contribute to bidding and tender processes when appropriate.
