Job summary

True Society in Sydney is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager (Customer Experience Manager) to lead personalised bridal shopping experiences and drive sales in our upscale boutique. You will co-lead daily operations with stylists, recruit and coach staff, manage pre-appointment qualification, and ensure inquiries and reviews are addressed with excellent service.

This role requires leadership in a fast-growing team, a strong customer-service mindset, and flexibility to work evenings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Retail/Fashion or related degree preferred; equivalent relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3-5 years retail management experience; bridal sales or apparel management preferred, not essential.
• Exhibits teamwork, objectivity, and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Builds a positive team spirit.
• Strong customer service approach with ability to build relationships and solve problems quickly.
• High emotional intelligence and organisational awareness for effective leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional and friendly.
• Proven retail sales ability with consistent attainment of sales goals.
• Ability to lead in a dynamic environment with multi-tasking and adaptability.
• Proven leadership skills to motivate and coach the team for positive outcomes.
• Results-oriented with attention to detail; capable of delegation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
• Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
• Physical ability to move throughout the store and assist on the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Create a highly personalised and unique experience for each bridal customer and party during gown selection.
• Co-lead daily sales and operational management; ensure store meets sales goals.
• Recruit, train and coach staff for ongoing development.
• Manage pre-appointment qualification process and monitor conversions.
• Address store reviews and provide coaching as needed for improvements.
• Reach out to customers via email, text, phone, or website and follow up.
• Assist in store marketing events, trunk shows, and promotions with planning and execution.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on merchandising and selling trends.
