Island Gold Coast on the Surfers Paradise precinct is seeking a passionate Breakfast Chef to join our boutique hotel kitchen. This full-time role includes early morning shifts and weekend hours, with opportunities for casual work too.

You will lead breakfast service, handle short-order cooking and eggs, maintain an efficient prep flow, support junior staff, and uphold a clean, well-organised station in a fast-paced morning environment.

Formación

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar breakfast or short-order chef role.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Experience in busy cafe, hotel or restaurant environment.

Responsabilidades

• Cook high-volume breakfast and eggs to order.
• Prepare breakfast buffet setups and maintain quality.
• Lead by example on morning shift and supervise junior staff.
• Keep workstation clean and well-organised.

Set in the heart of Surfers Paradise and on the doorstep of the famous Surfers Paradise Beach, Island Gold Coast boutique hotel is looking for a passionate and reliable Breakfast Chef to join our team!! Full time & Casual positions available. This position's roster includes early morning shifts and weekend hours. This is an excellent opportunity for a career minded individual with a strong work ethic, passion for morning service, and excellent communication skills to join this evolving company.

Skills and Experience

Enjoy working in a fast-paced morning environment with a true passion for high-volume breakfast cooking and excellent presentation.

Proven ability working in a large capacity venue delivering quick ticket times under pressure.

Demonstrate high-level proficiency across short-order cooking, eggs, prep, and breakfast buffet setups.

Follow venue menu planning for morning preparation and service.

Experience in production kitchens or boutique hotel breakfast operations is advantageous.

A keen eye for detail, punctuality, and a positive, early-bird approach.

Strong understanding of kitchen stock rotation and early morning prep efficiency.

Proven ability to lead by example on the morning shift and maintain a clean, well-organised workstation.

Excellent organisational skills and independence in managing early shift duties.

Support junior staff and foster a positive, respectful, and energetic kitchen culture.

Qualifications:

Proven relevant experience in a busy cafe, hotel, or restaurant environment
