Job summary

HospitalityNationPty Ltd in Melbourne, Victoria is seeking an experienced Chef to join our busy waterfront restaurant on a full-time basis. You will create and cook breakfast dishes, maintain high presentation standards, and support a fast-paced kitchen team.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of breakfast-restaurant experience, a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, strong food-safety knowledge, and a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to menu and customer requests
• Ensure all dishes are cooked and presented to high standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
• Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, as needed
• Assist with menu planning and development, as required
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new breakfast recipes
