Branch Manager | Bendigo

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000

Chandler Macleod is partnering with a well-established regional distribution and logistics business to recruit an experienced Branch Manager based in Bendigo, Victoria.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an operationally focused manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys leading frontline teams. You will be responsible for the overall performance of the branch, overseeing warehouse, transport, administration, compliance, inventory management and customer service functions while driving a strong safety and performance culture.

The Opportunity Reporting to senior leadership, the Branch Manager will be responsible for:

• Leading the day-to-day operations of the branch
• Delivering operational and financial performance targets
• Managing inventory, warehousing, transport and distribution activities
• Driving safety, compliance and quality standards
• Leading, coaching and developing frontline operational teams
• Managing branch budgets, KPIs and operational reporting
• Ensuring exceptional customer service delivery
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and service levels

You will work closely with a Sales Manager and a team of six Sales Representatives as key stakeholders.

What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Experience leading operational teams within warehousing, logistics, transport, manufacturing, distribution or retail environments
• Strong people leadership skills with a proven ability to develop, coach and hold teams accountable
• Experience managing safety, compliance, audits, SOPs and operational standards
• Strong inventory and stock management experience
• Financial and commercial acumen, including P&L awareness and KPI management
• The ability to work in a dynamic, multi-shift operational environment
• A hands-on leadership style with willingness to support operational activities when required
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Essential Requirements

• Must be based in Bendigo or willing to relocate prior to commencement
• Candidates should be located within approximately 45 minutes of Bendigo
• Available to respond to operational matters or site emergencies when required
• Comfortable with occasional early starts, after-hours calls and operational support outside standard business hours
