Job summary

IMB Bank is seeking a Branch Manager for the Sylvania branch, bringing leadership, relationship development, and lending expertise to the role. You will guide staff, manage member experience and oversee lending from application to settlement, while ensuring NCCP and IMB compliance.

You will lead a small team, build community connections, and proactively source new business opportunities within the local area, collaborating with the broader retail network.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in writing home loans is essential.
• Experience in leading people through coaching and training.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to proactively source new business opportunities in the local community.
• Ability to manage branch operations in a highly regulated banking environment and adhere to regulatory requirements.

Job description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Branch Manager with a flair for relationship development and leadership, to provide support to our Sylvania branch. As an integral part of our leadership team, you will be comfortable providing hands on management and lending service and support to our teams and customers.

About the Role

• Motivating, developing and inspiring a small team to achieve both branch and employee objectives
• Connecting in the community and building relationships with members by providing positive interactions and experiences both face to face and via our digital platforms
• Sourcing new opportunities and referrer arrangements
• Supporting small businesses
• Leveraging off IMB’s Financial Health Checks, striving to provide the right products that suit member needs through effective conversations and interviews
• Conducting both personal and home loans and managing the member experience from application through to settlement in compliance with NCCP and IMB requirements
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch ensuring legal, risk, compliance, regulatory and reporting requirements are met
• Working collaboratively with the broader retail network team and all departments

About You

• Previous experience in writing home loans is essential
• An impressive track record in leading people by building their capability through coaching, training, and implementing effective management techniques
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to proactively source new business opportunities across the local community
• The ability to manage branch operations in a highly regulated banking environment and adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.
