IMB Bank in Canberra is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a high-performing team, drive lending growth and deliver exceptional member outcomes while strengthening community connections. You will manage loans end-to-end, from interviews to approvals, and engage members through in-person, digital and phone channels.

As a lender leader, you will coach a small team to achieve growth in lending, deposits and service, foster a positive customer-centric culture, and collaborate with the wider IMB

Qualifications

• Proven lending growth and residential home loan experience.
• Strong leadership with coaching and team development track record.
• Customer-focused mindset and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Experience in banking or financial services with a service culture.

Responsibilities

• Drive lending growth, build referral networks and deliver exceptional member outcomes.
• Lead loan interviews, process applications, assess and approve loans.
• Engage with members face-to-face, digitally, and via phone per preferences.
• Generate new lending opportunities through proactive business development.
• Coach and develop a small team to meet lending, deposit, service and growth targets.
• Create a positive customer-focused culture to help members achieve home ownership.
• Identify opportunities to support members and small businesses with lending and banking solutions.
• Build relationships with members, referral partners, local businesses and community networks.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and regulatory compliance.
