Job summary

Viva Leisure is seeking a Studio Manager to lead GROUNDUP Braddon in Canberra. You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive membership growth, and maintain exceptional member experiences in a premium boutique space offering Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Yoga and Barre.

You will mentor a high-performing team, lead sales and service initiatives, and ensure brand standards across all touchpoints. The role combines wellness passion with strong business leadership in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of the fitness and wellness industry with a focus on member experiences.
• Proven people management and leadership experience with high-performing teams.
• Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within fitness/retail.
• Proven sales aptitude with ability to meet or exceed targets.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with members and staff.
• Ability to mentor diverse teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong organisational and process management skills.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive membership growth and retention by delivering exceptional member experiences.
• Manage all front-of-house operations, enquiries, administration and reporting.
• Promote and sell GROUNDUP services and products while achieving KPIs.
• Execute local marketing initiatives to strengthen brand presence.
• Oversee day-to-day studio operations, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Manage opening/closing procedures, maintenance, inventory and safety compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and satisfaction.
• Recruit, onboard and develop a high-performing team through coaching.
• Manage staff rosters and payroll while fostering an inclusive culture.
