Job summary

Gillcraft Welding in Arundel, Queensland is seeking a skilled Boilermaker / Fabricator / Welder to join our team in a casual role with potential to progress to a permanent position after a qualifying period.

You will fabricate and assemble metal components, interpret drawings, and operate MIG/TIG welding equipment to meet specifications. A strong safety mindset and ability to work both independently and within a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in boilermaking, fabrication, or welding.
• Experience as boilermaker, fabricator, or welder in workshops/manufacturing.
• 3–5 years' experience as boilermaker/fabricator/welder.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings and specs.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Independent and team-working abilities; safety focused.
• Forklift ticket is an advantage.

Gillcraft Welding is seeking a skilled Boilermaker / Fabricator / Welder to join our team in Arundel, Queensland. What you'll be doing

Operate welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications

Demonstrate proficiency in MIG and TIG welding processes

Perform metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, and assembling metal parts

Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication

Maintain tools and equipment in good working order

Contribute to a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in boilermaking, fabrication, or welding

Demonstrated experience as a boilermaker, fabricator, or welder, preferably in a workshop or manufacturing environment

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a boilermaker, fabricator, or welder

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

Forklift ticket is an advantage.
