Job summary

Jobstar on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland is seeking a skilled fabricator with 3-5 years experience in structural steel and metal work for a full-time permanent role.

This position requires MIG welding with bare wire 1.2 mm (GMAW), reading shop drawings, and contributing to a team-based, safety-focused workshop environment. A reliable transport means is essential.

Hours are 5 days per week with possible Saturday mornings and overtime. Company offers permanent, in-person work on site.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years fabrication experience in structural steel and metal work.
• Bare Wire 1.2 mm MIG welding (GMAW) experience.
• Able to read shop drawings accurately.
• Reliable and able to work safely in a team.
• Must have reliable transport to get to work.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate structural steel components per shop drawings.
• Perform MIG welding with bare wire 1.2 mm and maintain safety.
• Collaborate with team and follow directions; OT may be required.

We are a Metal Fabrication business on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, supplying Structural Steel components to South East Queensland construction projects – Residential, Commercial and Industrial.

Applicants to have good experience in Metal fabrication and welding. Must be able to read shop drawings and follow general directions.

5 Days per week – Possible Saturday mornings and possible daily OT.

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years Fabrication experience in Structural Steel / Metal Work
• Bare Wire 1.2 mm (GMAW) Mig Welding
• Experienced in reading work shop drawings
• Follow direction and work safely in team work environment
• Must be reliable with stable work history and a positive attitude to work
• Must have reliable transport means to get to work
