Qualifications

• Boilermaker/Welder trade qualification required.

• Minimum 2+ years boilermaker/welder experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding of pipework, plate, and structural steel.

• Preparing, measuring, cutting, and assembling steel components.
• Operating welding equipment safely and to a high standard.
• Ensuring quality control checks and compliance with WHS standards.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Boilermaker/Welder to join our advanced manufacturing team in Thornton, NSW. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who thrives in a modern, innovative environment. You'll be working on high-quality fabrication, welding, and fitting projects, while gaining exposure to robotic welding technologies. Structural steel and Pipework fabrication experience is essential for this role.

Key responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding of pipework, plate, and structural steel
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Preparing, measuring, cutting, and assembling steel components
• Operating welding equipment safely and to a high standard
• Ensuring quality control checks and compliance with WHS standards
• Assisting in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of robotic welding systems

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Welder (essential)
• Proven fabrication and welding skills (MIG/TIG/FCAW Essential)
• Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• A positive, team‑focused attitude and willingness to learn
• Must have the legal right to work in Australia
• Minimum 2+ years of boilermaker/welder experience is required

Highly Regarded (but not essential)

• Experience with robotic welding or automated production systems
• Familiarity with modern manufacturing workflows and lean processes
• MR Truck Licence
