Job summary

Gillcraft Welding in Arundel, Queensland is seeking a skilled Boilermaker / Fabricator / Welder to join our team in a casual role with potential to progress to a permanent position after a qualifying period.

You will fabricate and assemble metal components, interpret drawings, and operate MIG/TIG welding equipment to meet specifications. A strong safety mindset and ability to work both independently and within a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in boilermaking, fabrication, or welding.
• Experience as boilermaker, fabricator, or welder in workshops/manufacturing.
• 3–5 years' experience as boilermaker/fabricator/welder.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings and specs.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Independent and team-working abilities; safety focused.
• Forklift ticket is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment to join metal components per specs.
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding processes.
• Fabricate, cut, bend, and assemble metal parts.
• Read and interpret drawings/blueprints for fabrication.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good order.
• Contribute to a safe work environment by following procedures.
