Job summary

Taus Mechanical Pty Ltd in Brisbane region seeks a qualified welder/fabricator for a varied role spanning structural fabrication, welding (MIG/TIG/stick) and on-site/ workshop work. You will read drawings, measure, cut and fit components, and support maintenance and project tasks across industrial sites.

Open to candidates with relevant trade qualifications and demonstrated fabrication experience; White Card and safety focus essential. Overtime and away work may be required.

• Trade qualification and/or demonstrated industry experience.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Construction White Card and safety awareness.

Join a small close team with work that is varied and may include structural and general steel fabrication, MIG, TIG and stick welding, site welding and fabrication, machinery and equipment repairs, modification and repair of existing plant and equipment, installation of fabricated components, shutdown and project work, industrial maintenance and repairs, reading and working from engineering drawings, measuring, cutting, fitting and fabrication, and workshop and onsite works.

• Good understanding of workplace safety
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends and away when required
• Qualified pipe welders are highly regarded
• Familiar with fixed plant
