Job summary

Glencore is seeking a Maintenance Boilermaker at Clermont Open Cut to support day-to-day maintenance, provide technical leadership and ensure SHMS compliance on site.

You will work a 7/7 rotating dayshift/nightshift roster with FIFO options from Brisbane or Sunshine Coast, DIDO or residential options, and a focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Certification III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding).
• GCAA Level 2 welding competency.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in large mining operation.
• QLD Drivers Licence.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the core purpose of this vital role is to assist in the day-to-day requirements of a Maintenance Boilermaker for Clermont Open Cut. We have a vacancy in our Field Maintenance team, you will be a key stakeholder in providing technical leadership, guidance and support to site regarding maintenance management and compliance to the SHMS.

As a Maintenance Boilermaker at Clermont Open Cut your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and housekeeping standards

You will possess the following skillset and attributes:

• Certification III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/ Welding)
• GCAA Level 2 welding competency
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in large mining operation
• QLD Drivers Licence

This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practice using a hands‑on approach.
