Job summary

Glencore is seeking a Maintenance Fitter for Clermont Open Cut in Queensland. The role supports day-to-day maintenance, providing technical leadership and ensuring SHMS compliance on site. A safety-conscious candidate with hands-on approach is required.

Ideal applicants will hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade and have at least 2 years' experience in a large mining operation, plus a valid QLD driver’s licence. Attractive incentives, roster and FIFO/DIDO options are offered.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the core purpose of this vital role is to assist in the day-to-day requirements of a Maintenance Fitter for Clermont Open Cut. As we have multiple vacancies across our Field and HME Workshop teams, you will be a key stakeholder in providing technical leadership, guidance, and support to site regarding maintenance management and compliance to the SHMS.

As a Maintenance Fitter at Clermont Open Cut your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reliability focused mindset

• Work unsupervised in breakdown conditions
• Follow safe work practices
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and housekeeping standards

You will possess the following skillset and attributes:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade

• Minimum 2 years' experience in large mining operation

• QLD Drivers Licence

This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practice using a hands-on approach.
