Job summary

Glencore is seeking a Maintenance Fitter for Clermont Open Cut to support day-to-day maintenance and breakdown tasks in a safety-conscious mining operation. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will apply a reliability-focused mindset while working in a team and unsupervised when required.

This role offers a 7/7 rotating day and night shift, fully funded roster FIFO or DIDO options with a $6,000 relocation allowance, trade allowance, education assistance, and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a large mining operation.
• QLD Driver's Licence required.
• Safety-conscious and focused on continuous improvement.

• Maintain reliability and support day-to-day maintenance.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the core purpose of this vital role is to assist in the day-to-day requirements of a Maintenance Fitter for Clermont Open Cut.

As a Maintenance Fitter at Clermont Open Cut your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reliability focused mindset
• Willingness to work and contribute in a team environment
• Work unsupervised in breakdown conditions
• Follow safe work practices
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and housekeeping standards

You will possess the following skillset and attributes:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in large mining operation
• QLD Drivers Licence

This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practice using a hands-on approach.
