Job summary

Glencore is recruiting a Maintenance Boilermaker for Clermont Open Cut. The role involves day-to-day maintenance, reliability improvements, and hands-on welding in a large mining operation.

You will work on a 7/7 rotating dayshift/nightshift roster, with FIFO options and a competitive benefits package designed to attract experienced trade personnel. A strong safety focus and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding) required.
• GCAA Level 2 welding competency essential.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a large mining operation.
• QLD Driver's Licence essential.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the core purpose of this vital role is to assist in the day‑to‑day requirements of a Maintenance Boilermaker for Clermont Open Cut.

We have a vacancy in our Field Maintenance team, you will be a key stakeholder in providing technical leadership, guidance and support to site regarding maintenance management and compliance to the SHMS.

As a Maintenance Boilermaker at Clermont Open Cut your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reliability focused mind-set

• Work unsupervised in breakdown conditions
• Follow safe work practices
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and housekeeping standards

You will possess the following skillset and attributes:

• Certification III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/ Welding)
• GCAA Level 2 welding competency
• Minimum 2 years' experience in large mining operation
• QLD Drivers Licence

This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practice using a hands-on approach.
