JobAdder Operations Pty in Sydney is seeking a Junior/Mid-Level BMS Engineer to join our building automation team. You will assist with BMS design, programming and commissioning across commercial sites, working both in the office and on client sites.

You should have 1–3 years of relevant BMS or controls experience, familiarity with Tridium Niagara and other platforms, and the ability to read electrical schematics. Some travel to Sydney projects will be required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant BMS, HVAC controls or building automation experience.
• Electrical/engineering background with practical exposure to controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsabilités

• Configure controllers, develop control logic and create BMS graphics.
• Support commissioning, including point-to-point checks, sensor verification and functional testing.

• Maintain commissioning records, technical documentation and client handover information.
• Take ownership of smaller tasks and straightforward system changes as experience develops.

About you

This role would suit someone with approximately 1-3 years of relevant BMS, HVAC controls or building automation experience, or an electrical/engineering background with practical exposure to controls.
You'll ideally bring:

• Experience with Tridium Niagara, or another BMS platform such as Distech, Honeywell, Johnson Controls or Schneider.
• A basic understanding of HVAC systems, sensors, actuators and control principles.
• Some exposure to BMS programming, commissioning or fault-finding.
• The ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• An organised approach, clear communication and a willingness to learn.
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to Sydney project sites.

Niagara certification would be an advantage, but is not essential.

The level

You should be comfortable completing routine technical tasks and recognising when to ask for support. Complex design decisions, advanced programming and overall project delivery will be supported by senior engineers.

Salary: $80,000-$90,000 base + super, depending on relevant experience and practical capability.
