Job summary

W3Global is seeking a BMS/EMS controls engineer to deliver projects across commercial buildings in Melbourne. The role covers design, commissioning, and live-site support, with a hybrid work model combining site, office, and remote work.

You will develop control logic, commission systems, and collaborate with project managers, technicians, and clients to ensure successful handovers on live sites. Strong BACnet/Modbus/XML knowledge and Niagara experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in BMS, automation, or controls engineering.
• Degree or trade qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Controls, or similar.
• Solid knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, or other open protocols.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and energy systems.
• Experience with programming and commissioning.
• Clear communicator, organized, and detail-focused.
• Works well in a team and on live sites.

Integrate third-party devices using BACnet and Modbus

Review mechanical and electrical drawings for control intent

What We're Looking For

2+ years experience in BMS, automation, or controls engineering

Degree or trade qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Controls, or similar
