Job summary

Macquarie Technology Group is seeking a Billing Consultant to resolve complex customer billing enquiries with a high level of service. You will investigate issues end-to-end, analyse invoices, contracts, pricing and account data, then communicate outcomes clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.

The role involves working across Credit, Account Management, Service Delivery and Sales to prevent recurring issues, improve processes and leverage AI to make billing smarter and more efficient.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing, customer resolutions, revenue analysis or similar environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into business outcomes.
• Understanding of billing, invoicing and account management concepts.
• Excellent Excel and Office skills; familiarity with Power BI, Teams and Copilot.
• Experience with ticket systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Ability to interpret contracts, pricing and business rules.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Experience with telecommunications products, services and billing processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Investigate billing issues end-to-end across invoices, contracts and pricing.
• Resolve complex customer enquiries and disputes with clear explanations.
• Collaborate with Credit, Accounts, Delivery, Sales, suppliers and carriers to prevent recurring issues.
• Identify root causes of recurring billing problems and drive process improvements.
• Leverage AI and modern tech to enhance billing resolution efficiency.
• Contribute to reporting and process improvements impacting customer experience and NPS.
