Job summary

Macquarie Technology Group is seeking a Billing Consultant in Sydney to resolve complex customer billing enquiries and disputes while delivering excellent service. You will investigate end-to-end issues across invoices, contracts, pricing and account data, working with Credit, Account Management, Service Delivery, Sales, suppliers and carriers to drive resolution and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Billing, customer resolutions or revenue analysis experience required.
• Strong data interrogation and translating findings to business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of billing, invoicing and account management concepts.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office; familiarity with Power BI, Teams and Copilot.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing system.
• Ability to interpret contracts, pricing rules and business terms.
• Strong written and spoken communication; able to present clearly.
• Experience with telecommunications products and billing processes desirable.
• Interest in AI, automation and emerging tech for billing improvements.
• Degree in finance or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex billing enquiries and disputes end-to-end.
• Analyse invoices, contracts, pricing and account data to determine outcomes.
• Communicate resolutions clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Credit, Account Management, Service Delivery, Sales, suppliers and carriers.
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend improvements.
• Help improve processes, reporting and ways of working, including AI usage.
