Job summary

Macquarie Technology Group is seeking a Billing Consultant in Sydney to resolve complex customer billing enquiries and disputes, delivering high-quality service. You will investigate end-to-end billing issues, analyze invoices, contracts, pricing and account information, and communicate outcomes to customers and internal stakeholders.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Credit, Account Management, Service Delivery, Sales and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing, customer resolutions, revenue analysis or similar environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interrogate data and translate findings into business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of billing, invoicing and account management concepts.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with experience across tools such as Power BI, Teams and Copilot.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticket management system.
• Ability to interpret contracts, business rules and pricing structures.

Responsibilities

• Investigate billing issues from end to end and determine the right outcome, communicating it clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Resolve complex billing matters by analyzing invoices, contracts, pricing and account information.
• Collaborate with Credit, Account Management, Service Delivery, Sales, suppliers and carriers to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Identify process improvements and leverage AI/modern technology to improve billing resolution and efficiency.
