Job summary

Hikvision is seeking a Product Pre-sales Engineer to manage its Oceania product portfolio from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. You will translate market needs into product priorities, support launches, and enable local teams to represent products effectively.

The role requires strong English and Mandarin fluency, deep product knowledge, and the ability to work across Sales, Marketing and technical teams with travel across the Oceania region.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
• Five years plus experience in the security industry is required.
• Strong product and solution knowledge with market awareness.
• Experience with product planning, launches or lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to derive actionable recommendations.
• Confident presentation and product demonstration skills.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate resources and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, customer needs and product performance to guide decisions.
• Gather feedback and identify product requirements; coordinate with HQ to prioritise development.
• Develop and coordinate New Product Introduction plans with local and HQ teams; review outcomes.
• Manage product categories through lifecycle and communicate transitions to local teams.
• Collaborate with teams to investigate and resolve significant product issues.
• Plan product marketing activities and promotional programmes; capture success stories.
• Organise product training and assess training effectiveness.
• Prepare regular reports on industry trends, competitor intelligence, and product-line outcomes.
