Hikvision is seeking a Product Pre-sales Engineer to manage its Oceania product portfolio from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. You will translate market needs into product priorities, support launches, and enable local teams to represent products effectively.

The role requires strong English and Mandarin fluency, deep product knowledge, and the ability to work across Sales, Marketing and technical teams with travel across the Oceania region.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Pre-sales Engineer to help develop and manage our product portfolio across Oceania. You will use market intelligence, customer feedback and commercial analysis to inform product strategy, support new product introductions and manage products throughout their lifecycle.

Working closely with local Sales, Marketing and technical teams, as well as colleagues at headquarters, you will help translate market needs into product priorities, support product launches and promotions, and equip local teams with the knowledge they need to represent our products effectively.

Location: Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, with responsibility across Oceania.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, customer needs and product-line performance to inform business decisions, sales forecasts and marketing strategies.
• Gather customer and sales feedback, identify product and feature requirements, and work with headquarters to prioritise product development opportunities.
• Develop and coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) plans, working with relevant local and headquarters teams, and review implementation outcomes.
• Manage assigned product categories throughout the product lifecycle, including communicating product transitions and phase-outs to local teams.
• Work with local and headquarters teams to investigate and resolve significant product issues.
• Plan product marketing activities, customer events and promotional programmes; assess their effectiveness and collect success stories for internal sharing.
• Organise product training to keep local teams up to date on product features, benefits and key selling points, and review training effectiveness.
• Prepare regular reports on industry trends, competitor intelligence, product analysis and product-line outcomes.

Role Requirements

Essential

• Fluency in both English and Mandarin;
• At least five years’ experience in the security industry.
• Strong product and solution knowledge, with sound commercial and market awareness.
• Experience with product planning, product launches or product lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn market and customer information into practical recommendations.
• Confident presentation and product demonstration skills, with the ability to build effective customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate resources, and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin to support communication with local teams and headquarters.
• A willingness to travel across the region as required.
